Microsoft has officially announced the next major update for Windows 10, which will officially be known as Windows 10 Version 20H2 and it would be a minor release mainly focusing on quality improvements.
The Redmond-based Gaint hasn’t revealed the exact timeline of Windows 10 20H2, the next feature update, but it’s likely to roll out in between October and November this year.
Microsoft is planning to bring improvements, stability, common bug fixes, security or enterprise features, and other quality enhancements. As reported on Windows Latest, Microsoft will not be adding new features and major changes to the update.
Windows 10 feature updates will be using consumer-friendly names such as November 2020 Update, as the update will be released in November.
One notable change that Microsoft is said to be bringing in the Windows 10 upcoming update, Windows 10 will show the actual code name in place of a version number that Windows used to show us in Settings > System > About.
Yesterday, TheVerge also reported, the next major update will include Edge by default in the installation. Microsoft also mentioned in their blog, this upcoming update “will have a faster installation experience because the update will install like a monthly update”.
