MIUI 12 is Expected to Launch Today w/ Mi 10 5G Youth Edition

There are no hidden secrets that the Chinese Smartphone Gaint Xiaomi is about to release the next major update for its smartphones, MIUI 12. MIUI 12 went into development for about a year now, and earlier this month, the brand even advised its developers to start working on the skins for the upcoming MIUI 12.

The company is rumored to unveil Mi 10 5G Youth Edition with MIUI 12, on April 27th in China. MIUI 12 Beta ROMs will start rolling for some selected Xiaomi and Redmi Smartphones at the end of this month.

Xiaomi recently announced the upcoming MIUI via an official post on Weibo. The company has shared some teasers for both the upcoming MIUI 12 and Mi 10 5G Youth Edition.

As per the list suggests, the next-generation software is set to be released to several smartphones. These numerous smartphone including —

Mi 10
Mi 10 Pro
Mi 9
Mi 9 SE
Mi 9 Pro

Apart from this, other devices getting the update are the Mi 8, the Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9, and Mi CC9e. The update has also been tipped to be made available to the Mi MIX 3, Mi MIX 2S, and Mi MIX 2 as well.

To your surprise, the update is also expected for some Redmi smartphones too. Redmi K series phones will be among the first Redmi smartphones to get the update. One of the first phones from the series will be the flagships, Redmi K30 series phones. They will be followed by the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.

Apart from the Flagships, Redmi 8, 8A & 8 Pro, Redmi 7, 7A & 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 7 are also expected to get the new MIUI 12 Update.

Some recent leaks of screenshots suggest new MIUI 12 will come with new refreshed UI elements and themes.

As for the Mi 10 5G Youth Editon, nothing much is known yet expect it isn’t the renamed Mi 10 Lite that was launched in Europe earlier this month. The teased poster reveals that it will feature a square-camera on the back with up to 50x Digital Zoom.

The device will come in four colorways – white, golden, blue, and mint green.
