BIS Listing Suggests Realme TV with 43-Inch Screen Size

Realme had already established itself as a major brand in the Indian Smartphone Market quickly in less than two years of its launch. The brand has been expanded real smart to offer various audio products, accessories, along with smartphones.

Now, the brand is about to also expand in the smart television segment. As listed on India Certification Site, BIS, Realme TV could be offered in a screen size of 43-inch. Other screen sizes are also expected as well to reveal after the COVID-19(Coronavirus) pandemics ends.

A listing is spotted by Twitter user @stufflistings via Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) shows certifications for Realme TV 43, a 43-inch Smart LED TV. The listing also indicates that the Realme TV could be a rebranded Sansui TV, along with a modified user interface. Both the address of the manufacturer and the official model no. is the same as suggests the official site of BIS.

It is expected from Realme that its TV series will also feature some UHD models along with HDR Support and running on either Android TV or a custom user interface, based on the Android platform.

Nothing much is known about Realme TV yet, except that it is scheduled to launch in India in October 2020. However, the could be affected due to coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in India. We still except Realme will launch the television in India before the end of 2020 itself. The TV was originally announced to launch in MWC 2020, which was cancelled taking the spread of Coronavirus as a major concern.

Realme is already a tough competitor for Xiaomi in Indian Smartphone Market. Realme had also launched its first fitness band in order to compete with the Mi Bands. As Xiaomi has already loss Indian SmartPhone Market to Realme, it will be very interesting to know how Xiaomi will deal with Realme in Indian Television Segment which is highly dominated to Xiaomi’s surprisingly cheap but great-build Mi TVs.
