Google’s new mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 4a, which was expected to arrive later this month, a fresh report from Caschys Blog suggests that Google has been delayed until next month. Caschys Blog was the one, who had suggested that the Pixel 4A will be live for sale from May 22nd.
The rumors for the new release date suggest Google is planning to announce the Pixel 4A along with the first beta edition of the upcoming Android 11. The Silicon Gaint has already scheduled an Android 11 Beta Launch Show for June 3. This online event will be replacing Google I/O 2020 which was canceled due to the Coronavirus Pandemics.
The Pixel 4A could be Google’s one of few devices which will support Android 11 Beta 1 out-of-the-box. It is expected that the Pixel 4A will be available for purchase from June 5th. The launch event for the Pixel device is delayed almost by a month as compared to the Pixel 3A, launched last year.
As rumors suggest the Google Pixel 4A will sport a 5.8-inch FHD Display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 SoC paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. In the camera department, It will come with a single 12MP Rear Camera and an 8MP Selfie Shooter.
The phone reportedly will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack, yes a headphone jack. Possibly, it will come in a 64GB and a 128GB storage variants. Furthermore, the Google Pixel 4a may come in two color variants, ‘just black’ and ‘barely blue’.
With the Pixel 4A, Google will be expected to challenge Apple’s 2nd-gen iPhone SE. It is expected to be cheaper than Apple’s offering when it becomes official next month.
